Liam 8th April 2019

I remember sitting in a lecture when you shared some of your life story. I remember feeling so inspired by your journey, but also your values and compassion. I also feel really proud to say that I had the opportunity to learn from you as my Practice Educator. You always treated me with so much respect and enabled me to explore my learning and experiences without any judgement. It fills my heart with huge warmth that at the end of every supervision before we parted you shook my hand with a great smile. Such a gentleman. The lessons that I have learnt from you will stay with me for the rest of my life and career. You taught me to challenge when things need to change, reflect on myself and always put the service user first. So many people talk about the influence that you have had on their life and how passionate you were. Thank you so much for everything Lawrence. I never had the chance to say thank you, but I will hope to make you proud in my Social Work career and I know I will often think “what would Lawrence say”. Rest in peace Lawrence. Love Liam M x
