I was so very lucky, and priviledged, to have Lawrence as substance misuse social worker in my team at 219 West Street. He taught me so much about a field in which he was so knowledgable and I wasn’t. His work in Fareham and Gosport setting up Spotlight was innovative and inspirational. He was the best sort of social worker, kind, authentic, knowledgable and professional. I respected him enormously and felt great affection for him. Although our career paths diverged Lawrence left a lasting impact on me and I think it can be said beyond a shadow of a doubt, he made a difference to those whose lives he touched.
